Parylene PCB Conformal Coating — How It Works
- Parylene is an ultra thin conformal coating that is deposited on corrosion-sensitive devices like PCBAs by Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) coating at room temperature under vacuum.
- No curing process is needed for Parylene after deposition.
- Parylene coatings are available in different grades: Parylene C, Parylene N, Parylene F-VT4 and Parylene F-AF4. Select Parylene grade according to temperature in use.
- Parylene coating are fully 3D conformal, highly uniform and penetrating thin spaces, ideal for complex and compact PCBAs.
- Check our CX PROTECT Parylene coatings.
Benefits of CVD Coating for Electronic Packaging
- Ultra thin conformal coating 10x more more waterproof than liquid conformal coatings
- Pinhole-free, thin, lightweight, flexible and temperature resistant (from -80°C up to 450°C)
- Fulfilling IPC-CC-830C and MIL-I-46058 requirements
- Excellent electrical insulation with low dielectric loss
- Resistant to large pressure and temperature cycles
- Qualified for aerospace, space and defense applications
