New product launch: super-hydrophobic nanocoating

To support the fight against COVID-19, Coat-X participates in an informal consortium of companies looking at ways to improve existing masks or manufacture more environmentally friendly PPE. The team effort is still ongoing, but we are excited to share that we developed a new coating process to come up with a superhydrophobic nanolayer that seems to add value to the performance of some commercially available masks as well as community masks.

The newly developed silicon-based conformal coating can be used to make complex 3D surfaces highly hydrophobic; it can be applied on a variety of substrates such as glass, polymers, fabrics, PCBs
